Life in a Lynwood Village duplex: how would you use the space?
With an average of 1,153 sq. ft of space, our beautifully finished two-bedroom duplex apartments are generously proportioned. How you use all of that adaptable and flexible space is entirely up to you and how you want to live. As with all our homes, our duplex apartments are designed with the future in mind, to enable independent living, with support should you need it. Here are five reasons we love a duplex.
You can still go upstairs to bed!
Let’s address the elephant in the room. Duplex apartments are arranged over two floors and they have stairs, which means they’re not suitable for everyone. Our current duplex owners tell us that they love their homes and some of them chose a duplex because they like going upstairs to bed. Also, you can have a stairlift fitted should you need to in the future, so the stairs need not be a deal breaker and, if you are able to, using the stairs can help maintain your fitness. If stairs aren’t a problem, these lovely, spacious apartments have many positive features.
The superb master suite
Upstairs on the first floor is where you’ll find a fantastic 27ft, dual aspect room with ensuite shower room and walk-in storage. This wonderful room also benefits from its own private balcony and / or roof terrace with views over the village and woodland, depending on your aspect. It’s a superb space and one of the main attractions of the duplex apartments. Some duplex owners choose to use the master suite as their main living space because it’s such a lovely, tranquil space. You could also reserve it for a live-in carer or guests.
Flexible, adaptable space
One of the main benefits of a Lynwood Village duplex is the flexibility and adaptability of the space. Downstairs is a lovely fitted kitchen with integrated appliances, which opens on to the generous living and dining space with its own private balcony. Also on the ground floor you’ll find the second double bedroom with its own ensuite shower room, which is also accessible from the hall so guests don’t have to traipse through the bedroom to reach the bathroom. Some people use the downstairs bedroom as their main bedroom while using the upstairs suite for a live-in carer, as a guest suite or a hobby room. Alternatively, the downstairs bedroom can be the guest room, hobby room, storage space… However you choose to use the space, with a duplex you have choices.
A choice of outside spaces with wonderful views
Duplex dwellers are spoilt for outside space because they have at least two balconies – one accessed from the main living space on the ground floor and one from the master suite – and some have a roof terrace too. Because the master suites are on the upper floors they have marvellous views over the village to the front or over the woodland at the back, so you can sit on your balcony and enjoy the fresh air.
The perfect home now and for the future
As well as a warm, comfortable home that’s easy to live in, moving to a Lynwood Village duplex means you’ll be joining our vibrant, friendly community where there’s always something to do and somewhere to be. You’re only alone when you choose to be at Lynwood, and the onsite facilities and support can help you maintain your physical and emotional wellbeing.
