Something for everyone, accessible to all

With level thresholds and lift access throughout, all areas of village are fully accessible for people using walking frames, wheelchairs and mobility scooters.  The minibus is equipped to take wheelchairs and the woodland paths are mobility-friendly too so everyone can enjoy most of the activities and events on offer.  From exercise classes and trips to the shops to arts and crafts sessions, the village choir, games and movie afternoons, you never need to be bored or lonely living at Lynwood Village.

People often blossom when they move here, making new friends, enjoying being busy, improving their physical health with exercise and therapy classes.  Even people who categorise themselves as ‘quiet’ often end up happily busier and more sociable than they’ve been in years.  One owner said he has made more friend in six months living at Lynwood than in 20 years where he used to live!

Trips out and for shopping

Trips out and for shopping

We regularly visit John Lewis in High Wycombe and enjoy shopping in Windsor, Bracknell and local Ascot High Street, plus weekly shuttles to the Waitrose in Sunningdale and trips to Sainsbury’s and Tesco.  Other outings include walks (and usually coffee!) in local beauty spots and places of interest such as Hampton Court Palace, lunches out and day trips, theatre visits and lots more.

Special events

Special Events

As well as all the regular weekly activities that you’ll find on your weekly schedule, we also arrange special one-off events.  This could be an evening’s entertainment with a singer, race night in the restaurant, a guest speaker, a taster session such as ballroom dancing or mindfulness, a day trip with a coach company to somewhere a little further afield or a trip to the theatre.  All you have to do is choose.
